The 30-second ad began airing in the District of Columbia today and may be expanded to other markets as the full vote of the Senate nears. The ad highlights the problems with the United Nations and why John Bolton is needed to bring about real change in the organization.

“Our organization, the American Security Council, is very much supportive of John Bolton’s nomination to become U.N. Ambassador. John Bolton is the right man for this job. He has demonstrated strong diplomatic skills as our chief nuclear arms reduction negotiator, and he has the strength to help foster real reform in a U.N., which has been plagued with scandal,” said former Congressman Bill McCollum, member of the American Security Council Board of Directors.

“We are urging anyone who wants our U.N. Ambassador to be a strong, constructively critical voice for change to contact their senators and let them know they support John Bolton’s confirmation,” McCollum said.

The American Security Council is a non-partisan organization. Through public policy advocacy, the American Security Council is dedicated to protecting America’s national security by emphasizing a national strategy of peace through strength. The Council also works to promote freedom, democracy and human rights around the world.
